Caffeine made the move to personal care products not terribly long ago, and with very good reason. Research actually shows that caffeine molecules do a great deal to strengthen hair as well as providing great antioxidant properties. I have been using Pacific Shaving Company's Caffeinated Shaving Cream for some time and really have preferred it and the effects on my skin to other brands.

I used PERT to wash my hair back in my twenties and into my thirties...

Of course, now that I am 52, I have lost so much of my hair that I would have to use the "double expresso" version  :-)

My fear is that I'll get a good night's sleep but my hair will stay up for days at a time.

"Shampoo that is gluten free!"

The risk is much less, but those who suffer from celiac are an increasing market for such products that have a high risk of coming into contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth while showering. I traveled with a guy for work in the early 2000s that suffered before grater awareness of the need for gluten free anything.  I just really felt for him and the trials and tribulations he would run into on the road.
