Which female actor is most represented in your collections?

For me, Audrey Hepburn.

Carrie Fisher

I wonder how these threads might have changed for me if I still had my significantly larger VHS collection.

I swear by all that's holy, I actually came up with six different actresses, all tied with 5 movies a piece, in which they were the female leads (or leads).  So in fairness, I'll just list my favorite of the six:

Olivia de Havilland

I need to catch up to you Mario.

I had a ton of her movies on VHS collections, they're all gone now :-(

Hmm.. good question. Four Alien movies, Ghostbusters, Galaxy Quest and Cabin in the Woods brings Sigourney Weaver up to a quick seven. There might be other actresses in my collection who can tie that number, but I'm not sure any can beat it.

Hm. I'd forgotten Ms Weaver. I'll have to double check the count, but she may eclipse the divine Audrey!

Well, this was downright surprising.  Not necessarily that she'd been in that many movies...but that I owned that many of them.

Would it be too geekettish of me to admit that I probably have as many DVDs of Clara Bow and Louise Brooks as of Lillian Gish? Not quite as many for Anna May Wong or Gloria Swanson though. I went with Gish because she seems the more respectable choice. Okay, I'm the only silent film fan here right?

"Okay, I'm the only silent film fan here right?"

...

I've watched my fair share thanks to TCM.
Regarding Louise Brooks, I became completely enamored with her a few years back. Not being classically trained her "style" is so unlike anyone of that time. Her biography is a great read!

Why would you think that? My choice for male actor in the other related thread was Stan Laurel, who crossed over from silent films to "talkies."

I was expecting to have the same answer as JB, since Audrey is my favourite, but it turns out Michelle Pfeiffer beats her in my collection with 12(!) movies.

Hey, cool, glad others here dig the silents too. I was just thinking I was out of step on something again. The Barry Paris book about Louise brooks is great, Have read it at least twice through, and there is an excellent one about Clara Bow by David Stenn too.

Who doesn't like Sigourney? I have the first two Alien movies in the deluxe sets but that's about it that I can think of. I might pick up Galaxy Quest if it had some decent extras though, it was a lot of fun to me. After Bette Davis I'd have to give Jody Foster my second place for DVDs bought. Also I'll watch anything with Laura Dern in it.
