Being the "dog person" that I am, many of this genre are some of the most
emotional movies I've watched..

Pick your top 3 theatrical released dog centered movies.

There's a lot of them out there so good luck.

Yes, as long as they were theatrically released.

Though I am a dog person, I haven't really watched many dog-centric films since childhood. So, two out of three of my choices are from that era:

SNOOPY COME HOME (1972)

BENJI (1974)

and more recently...

FRANKENWEENIE (2012)

Edit: I am almost always guaranteed to make some typo when posting! Ugh.

Disney has just about got the market cornered on this genre!

EIGHT BELOW

BOLT

BALTO

For those who picked 101 DALMATIANS, is it the animated or live action movie?

BTW, I also misspelled dalmatian at first.

Animated.

And, funnily enough, something just occurred to me, after all these years: there must have been some serious howls of pain and anquish when the animators first saw this title on the To-Do list!

The Mask counts, certainly.

101 Dalmatians-- animated. I don't like the live action ones.

The Peanuts Movie

I vaguely recall going to the cinema to see something called Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World, back when I was a kid in the early 1970s sometime.

One Hundred and One Dalmations (1961)
The Fox and the Hound (1981)
Where the Red Fern Grows (1974)

Comes with the caveat that I haven't the latter two since I was young.

BOLT didn't make a big splash at the box office, but we put a lot of work into it -- always nice when people appreciate the film :)
