I miss Craig Ferguson. His interviews came across as spontaneous, anarchic, and awkward. At times, they weren't even really interviews. Just awkward conversations with a guest. Some of his counterparts barely disguise the fact they are going down a list of pre-interview questions. Ferguson also had atypical guests, like UCLA Egyptologist Kara Cooney, who he had on a number of times.

Regarding Corden, I like him, but his show comes across as a copy of THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW.

Craig Ferguson is awesome. I watched his show as often as I could.

On the other hand, I've watched at most four episodes since James Corden took over. And my first exposure to him was that Matt Smith era episode of DOCTOR WHO. Was very surprised (and not in a good way) when he was announced as Ferguson's replacement.

I find Corden likable and entertaining enough. I havenít really watched
his late-night show much but I get a kick out of Carpool Karaoke. The
very first one I saw featured Stevie Wonder and I loved it! Just watched
the recent one with Paul McCartney and thought it was a lot of fun.

I have only watched one installment of CARPOOL KARAOKE, and that is the
episode featuring Michelle Obama. When Missy Elliott pops up in the back
seat, it becomes fun, especially when Corden plays one of her older songs.
