...muties...

You do realize that, contextually, that's like calling them the "n-word".

I'm all for a cliffhanger ending!

Not even sure it's possible to wrap this story up in one issue... there's soo many fun threads!

No matter what, it will end far sooner than any of us wants it to end.

Just noticed the "sticky" thread with the pencil pages in sequence... SWEET!

This thread (and that new thread) are my favorite threads in recent memory on the board! So darn cool, JB sharing this with all of us!

Looking at the locked thread, with the sequenced pages, John excels along with Paul Smith, Darwyn Cooke, J. Scott Campbell and  John Romita Jr. in visual storytelling.

If Herbie the robot shows up as a Modok minion I may cry! There hope that's definitely not gonna happen now. :^)

I never cared for the John Romita Jr. X-Men. He did a really good Spider-Man and a very decent Iron Man, but his X-Men all seemed kind of blocky or something, I can't remember him being particularly suited to any of them, maybe his Rogue was okay, and that Rachel Jr. Phoenix who he probably designed. A lot of late '80s pop video spikey hairdos too in his run, and shoulder pads. Eep! Brent Anderson and Dave Cockrum would be my runners-up to Byrne X-Men, and Alan Davis much much later.

As a guy who feels like Marvel hasn't used Colossus properly in years, JB is able to convey how awesome he is in just a few panels. It would be nice if any potential or current X-Men artists (or writers for that matter) are watching this thread and realize how much he offers to the team besides being "Kitty's Love Interest".
