C.B. Cebulski is saying he thinks it is time for the next seven figure launch & he has an idea as to what it should be.

Please, please let it be this.

Also about that missing page - another example of a reveal being spoiled by the script. Why bother having Kelly and Shaw in shadow in the second panel when the first panel's caption already revealed that it's them? I'm surprised that Claremont didn't do the same for Gyrich, while he was at it.

Same thing happened with the Magneto "reveal" in #141 - which was even worse!

I'm assuming a "seven figure launch" would be a first issue that sold 1,000,000?

More power to 'em if they can do it.

Me: "I just reread that story recently... I must have one of those reprints because it was missing! I forgot about that page!"

--

Vinny: Was it the one with the Jackson Guice cover? Because that's the one I recall the page missing in.

Yep.

I think that is very, very wishful thinking, sorry.

The new launch is ROM!!! ;)

The seven figure launch is a thing of the past and it happened only due to variant covers and speculation. Now it's imposible with the loss of readers.

If finally Marvel publishes Elsewhen, it should be a big success and have excellent sales because of Byrne's fan base, newer readers' curiosity, the nostalgia factor and being a X-Men series.

Isn't it ALWAYS the right time to do a "seven figure launch"?

Leigh - I know it is wishful thinking on my part. But I like to dream.

JB has said he would release the pages online if they never see print, but to be honest I just can't see this project failing to be printed. There must be around 160+ pages by now and it would be a travesty if we don't at the very least see the work published in Artist Editions. Inking duty would be done via blue line copies so the pencils will remain intact. I'm sure there are legal and marketing considerations to be made to get this project off to the printer, but it would be a huge missed opportunity in comics if these pages and stories never see printed page. I would be buying multiple copies to give away and if IDW printed a pencils only Artist Edition along with a more traditional B&W comic Artist Edition I would be getting both. Almost a year in and I would say based on the very limited number of pages that have been released that JB still has it and most likely always will.
