John Byrne: I think Chris went a little nutz with the "I can do anything" aspect of FOREVER. One of the things I would find an exciting challenge about ELSEWHEN is keeping the characters on track in the established "universe" around them.

Yes! Secret Wars!!

Just kidding. Please no.

I remember buying the first few issues and thinking "If this is what Claremont had planned for the X-Men in '91, no wonder they took him off the book!"

Neither X-MEN FOREVER nor FANTASTIC 4 EVER were intended to be what was actually planned. They were "imaginary stories," free from continuity.

For example, I planned to go full on tragedy by killing Franklin and Alicia in my first issue!

"The Franklin Richards Tower" was going to be the FF's new HQ, with the Alicia Masters gallery on the ground floor.

My ears were burning, so naturally I had to call round- thanks for the endorsements!
No, I'm not exclusive to IDW and yes, I'm always available for John when he calls.

You do great work! Working with the talented Mr Byrne must be a treat, you do a wonderful job accenting his work without overpowering it.

Welcome to the board : )

I've liked the color on the Star Trek books I've seen, no worries (like there were any, but just wanted to say). I have seen some things lately that seemed way over-colored with everything super-shiny, gaudy and ink lines painted over; no subtlety and crushing the individual artist style.

Thanks for the reply JB! I like learning about the process or behind the scenes magic.
