Great stuff! Didn't see that 2nd page until last night
on my phone.

My only wish is that you liked Colossus as much as you
did those three.

JB Said:

You touch here on something that has fascinated me
since I was a kid. Somewhere in Germany, years ago,
this particular lead was manufactured. And this
drawing was in it.

Not literally, of course. Not in the sense that
someone else could have used my pencil to produce this
drawing. That was in me. But I love the idea of all
these pieces coming together, down thru years, so I
could scratch some graphite onto a sheet of bristol
(also coming together after years and years) and make
this drawing.

Almost makes me believe in Fate.

---

Reminds me of the scene in No Country for Old Men,
where the bad guy says choose heads or tails (deciding
if he would kill the man or not) "the coin has been
traveling for 22 years to get here to this point, this
coin toss"

Everything is like that, for me. I cross reference my whole life.

A few years ago, as part of my change at the grocery store, I received a 1938 dime. Two things crossed my mind immediately: how many times had it been spent on its journey to my hand, and was one of those times a purchase of ACTION COMICS 1?

I truly wish I would come upon a Mercury dime at some point. When I worked for a couple of years as a supermarket check-out clerk, I still didn't see one. The one time I've ever come across one in the real world (as in, not at a coin show or shop) was during my grade school days when a particularly odious jerk of a kid brought one as part of his lunch money on a day when I didn't have any lunch money to trade him for it. There was no way to bargain to get hold of that dime... Not that I'm bitter, mind you. Oh, no, not at all...

I would love to see X-MEN: ELSEWHEN happen, if for no other reason than to find out what was up with that Cyclops robot...

Since that robot story predates the time I left, I'd say it was something Chris and I abandoned, and not something I would want to visit.

Never gonna happen, fun to think about... But I genuinely think it could sell well if it did happen.

I can't speak for anyone else, but in my heart, deep down, I've always felt it really was Jean that wielded the power of the Phoenix, no matter what the retcon says.

I'd worry that Jean living is more than a little of giving the fans what they think they want, but there have been so many kinks in the road, I don't think that matters too much at this moment in time.

I agree. The whole Jean/Phoenix thing was supposed to END with 137. But Chris couldn't let it go, and seized every opportunity to turn back to it. Eventually everyone wanted to play, and it all got twisted beyond redemption.

Just generally speaking, are we talking about a robot secretly taking Cyclops' place? He's a logical choice to replace with a robot from a powers standpoint.
