1. The Fantastic Four - by a country mile; I have read that run straight through at least 5 times.

2. Namor - great art and the storylines, particularly the Invaders one, kind of hit the mark with me.

3. The Uncanny X-Men - a classic run. JB's art has certainly improved over the years, but this was storytelling of an extremely high calibre.

4. Alpha Flight - memorable characters and the whole series had a slightly dark, off-kilter feel. It was still part of the Marvel Universe, but a slightly shadowy, uncomfortable and not entirely safe corner of that world.

5. Superman (I'm combining here his run on Action Comics, Superman and Man of Steel) - beautiful art, confident and inviting storytelling. Really couldn't get enough of this back in the day.

6. West Coast Avengers - I wasn't crazy about the inking on this run, but it was really exciting to have JB working on these characters on an ongoing monthly basis after his sojourn to DC. JB, the Wasp, Hank Pym, Hawkeye et al go together so well.

7. Generations - inventive and delightful. The first Generations was my favourite and I think it actually got better on the second and third time reading it.

8. Captain America - gets pushed down the list because of its brevity, but the quality was of the highest level.

9. The Sensational She-Hulk - funny stuff!

10. OMAC - awesome artwork.

1. Alpha Flight (100%)

2. X-Men (better than the original)

3. Fantastic Four (close second to the original)

4. JBNM (might be his best run/magnum opus)

5. Superman (but I enjoyed it as much as any run)

6. West Coast Avengers (good stuff)

7. Captain America (my man)

8. Generations (more good stuff)

9. New Gods/JK4W (destiny)

10. Namor (could put anything here)

I love 'em all :-)

  1. Fantastic Four - Second to Stan & Jack.
  2. Superman - the series that redefined the character for me.
  3. X-Men: The Hidden Years - inventive storytelling and was my last X-Men 'fix'.
  4. Uncanny X-Men - classic and definitive.
  5. Namor - Again, inventive storytelling and the return of the Invaders and Iron Fist!
  6. Jack Kirby's Fourth World - JB does Kirby proud.
  7. Captain America/Batman - My fav crossover.
  8. Generations - Great unique idea and stories.
  9. Marvel: The Lost Generation - Again, very cool premise, fascinating characters and stories.
  10. Wonder Woman - Like Superman, redefined the character... plus enjoyed the Justice Society appearance!
-C!
