I'm not sure about print runs for 2000-2001 comics, but generally there are tens of thousands of 99.9% every nationally distributed comic published from the middle '60s onward. None of them is genuinely rare, it's just some are more collected or in demand. I did find #22 of Hidden Years harder to find as well... no idea why that might be (shipping accident or copies destroyed, that has happened occasionally). Then they did start doing these alternate cover issues of things with fewer of them, that's what you call forced scarcity (milk the collector). I prefer the 'regular edition' cover Hidden Years #2 so I'm fine not having the 'rarer' one of that.

One maybe nerdy thing though... I want the newsstand copies of the '70s and '80s Marvel comics, not the diamond-shaped top left corner specialist shop edition, somehow they just don't seem as real when there is the ones that I remember from corner shop spinner racks available. I know they aren't a reprint though, at least not usually. There were some DCs with a Whitman logo too that also don't feel as 'real' to me either. I have to be careful with some sellers to see if they are showing a stock photo of a comic and might send me the specialist shop (or multi-bag) editions.

I'm not missing much...

I don't know if I have that 3 piece portfolio... I'd have to see a pic to be sure...

One thing I don't have is Death's Head. I've had the opportunity to buy a copy... I just wasn't moved enough to pull the trigger. I'll get around to it at some point.

Here's a few things that were harder for me to track down...

I own the original art that was produced for this cover -- took me YEARS to find the printed issue...

You have some amazing items there, Nathan!

For me, it was the Fantastic Four poster with all of their friends and foes. When I finally tracked one down and had it nicely framed about 20 years ago and my life felt complete. :-)

One that I lost in a move from Wisconsin to New Jersey in '76 was an issue of SPACE: 1999 where the Alphans meet the Olympian gods. It was probably tossed out by my mom when packing for the move and darn it, I miss that book.
