I feel VERY lucky to add this to the collection...

1986 Mid Ohio Con Jacket (I've never seen this JB drawing before...)

Here's someone on Ebay claiming to own the only one in existence...

Wonder if they'll lower the price now? They have it priced at $5,000,00

I was told that story isn't true.

That has got to be a rare version of JB art, Nathan, no matter how you slice it. Congrats on a rare find.

I guess my latest vintage Byrne aquisition would be Machine Man #14... cover pencils by JB, inked by Steve Ditko! How cool is that! More historic than a jacket to me, not knocking that this jacket might be very cool to some to wear (I hope)... but comics history... any Byrne Ditko collaboration is much more historic for me.Really though, the obsession with anything even minisculely related to comics or comic creators as being of some huge historical importance is nutty. If it isn't fun, if doesn't make you happy in some way... it's some dust covered nothing in a fancy display case at a museum 99.9% of people will never visit.

I don't have a holy grail item right now... interesting to see Amazing Science Fantasy and Nightmare though! maybe I'll find out about something I didn't know existed and have one again, but I'm pretty happy right now with what I've gotten and enjoying it immensely. Maybe some CPL fanzines or Bullseye mag #3, but I have all the main stuff again, or for the first time in some cases.

I do plan on wearing it.

I also got my hands on this! A sweatshirt with the same logo from 1986...

I like to read that they will be worn! :^)

Jackets and shirts are for wearing, and the comics for reading after all! Enjoy, and thanks for sharing these! The 1981 Chicagocon book is also amazing to see!

My Holy Grail doesn't exist, perhaps making it a real Holy Grail, but I would love to have an artist size copy of some of JB's best commissions.

This has been discussed, at IDW.

That jacket is gold, Nathan - a really cool acquisition!  I didn’t even know it existed until now.
