First round starts in two days.

What are your team's needs?
Who do you hope they draft in the first round (if your team has a first round pick)?
Who do you hope they stay away from?
How well positioned do you think your team is going into the draft?

General question:  Do you really believe that this is a QB draft class on the level of 1983 (Elway, Kelly, Marino)?  I don't, but ESPN, Yahoo and Bleacher Report are sure getting a lot of milage telling us it is!

I think either Darnold or Mayfield (possibly even both) will turn out to be a bust. And ESPN is full of it. There will be some decent QBs in the draft, but I don't see any of them being future Hall of Famers. I think Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson will be better than anyone expects, but it'll surprise me if Darnold and Mayfield don't go before them.

The Cowboys definitely need a WR and a LB. I've seen mock drafts that have them possibly picking players from Alabama at both positions, and I hope not for either. Anyone from Alabama (or Ohio State, or any team usually in the title hunt) is automatically going to be overrated.

I kind of hope the Cowboys grab Shaquem Griffin if he's still available. He may only be one handed, but he's a monster on the field.

An early run on QB could be a major plus for Chicago.

That's true of all the teams in the NFC North.  For the first time in an age, none of us are looking for a franchise QB.

The Lions have the 20th pick in the first. Hoping they land a good pass rusher, either interior or edge, don't matter we need to get more pressure on the QB!
On offense maybe there will be a hidden gem available at RB in the 2nd round.
No 100 yard game rusher since 2013!!!!!

Of course the real fun will be watching the Browns, to see how they will F-up their draft.

Falcons: They say DT. but others are saying a first round rated DT won't be there at 26. Personally I hope they trade out of the first round for like a 2nd and 3rd/4th DT, OG, TE, LB. (if we stay at 26 then best available athlete.)

Rams: no 1st round to worry about. I think they still need receiver help probably depth on O line and LB.

Bengals: #21 hell if I know. Best player, seeing how they need help on both sides of the ball. QB of the Future? If Andy Dalton is in the peak of his career he needs to go.

**************

If 4 do go, it's a huge plus.  I expect to see a team trading up to either 5 or 6 in an effort to grab one of the QBs.

The Bills traded up with the Bucs to get Josh Allen (QB, Wyoming) at #7. Ahead of Josh Rosen and Lamar Jackson.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  Wow.  What a terrible pick at that point in the draft.

As far as our lone pick at #30?  I dunno much about Mike Huges, CB from UCF.  I do wish we'd gotten some O-Line help as that's been our glaring weakness over the last couple of seasons.  Our D?  Solid.  But maybe the Vikes see more availability on the O-Line side of the ball later in the draft?  We'll see...

Matt, you have one of the best defensive minds as HC for your team, doing defense shouldn't be a huge surprise.

As for the Bears' pick, I REALLY wanted Nelson to fall to them, but I'm very happy they grabbed Roquan Smith.  In terms of how he plays, he's very similar to Ray Lewis.

I'm curious to see if Pace tries to move down a bit in the 2nd round in order to grab a 3rd round pick....

It's hard to argue with Pete Carroll and the Seahawks results but I've given up
trying to understand their draft strategy. We need DB, offensive line, even a
WR or back up QB for goodness sake.
Instead we draft a RB.
Pete will make it work but this is frustrating.

Thw Cowboys did right round one, going with a LB. But they need a WR, and took a G in the second round. (They need both, actually, but unless they plan on trading or signing a free agent, they probably should have grabbed a WR first. Not a G.)

Some pretty universal great grades going around for the Giants. Smart picks, really built up the team. Really looking forward to this coming season (of course, I said that last year, so...).

Matt, I just hope Anthony Miller keeps putting up the same numbers against Mike Hughes every time the Bears face the Vikings (14 catches for 195 yds and 3 TDs).
