My mom was a music teacher in a school that was somewhat "inner city"-- she would never have considered carrying a gun.

Teachers should only carry a gun if they can quick draw right?

And two police officers were just shot at a Home Depot, which makes no sense. TWO good guys with guns couldn't stop ONE bad guy with a gun? Let's keep this story a secret from the NRA. It will only screw up their math.

More guns, more accidents.

 QUOTE:
There were 489 people killed in unintentional shootings in the U.S. in 2015, the most recent year for which data is available. That was down from 824 deaths in 1999, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Taking into account population growth over that time, the rate fell 48%.

Experts attribute the decline to a mix of gun safety education programs, state laws regulating gun storage in homes and a drop in the number of households that have guns. While the improvement occurred in every state, those with the most guns and the fewest laws continue to have the most accidental shooting deaths.

What struck me about that story when i originally saw it
was that he was a BLACK teacher with a gun...very risky
for him.

I'm a teacher and a gun owner. I do not endorse arming teachers. We have an onsite police officer, he's the only one who should be allowed to carry.

Given some of the teachers I had over the years, a gun is the last thing I'd want to give them.

I've noticed that a lot of the time the right to carry isn't working out too well for black people. I was almost wondering if the whole thing was some kind of set-up except that shooters have still been defended for shooting black unarmed people as they 'thought' the cell phone or whatever was a gun, or in the case of Trayvon Martin it was even admissible in a Florida court to say he was armed... with a sidewalk. :^(

Let's arm all the kids, from kindergarden on up. The survivors get to do a Hunger Games thing for their senior year.

Stupid beyond belief.

What's the new motto: Reading, writing and ammunition?
