I didn't see such a topic, so... think about some interesting TV show crossovers that didn't happen but that would be fun. Any genre, any type of show... as long as it makes an interesting story. (Supergirl crossing over with "Gilligan's Island" probably wouldn't be very interesting, as she could have them home in a couple hours. Then again, how interesting was "Gilligan's Island" anyhow...? :)
Let's limit it to four or five. And if you have some reasons, put 'em in.
Me? Sure I have some.
I would love to see Knight Rider racing side by side with the Mach 5, to solve some mystery or other.
Who wouldn't want to see Ultraman and Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot against the forces of Cobra?
I'd have liked a kind of modern League of Extraordinary Gentlemen... Steve Austin, Jamie Sommers, the Man from Atlantis, McGyver, maybe one or two others.
Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 would have made an excellent team up with Castle and Beckett.
And probably the oddest one, but one that intrigues me... I think it would have been interesting to see Walter Cronkite as the captain (temporary) of the Enterprise, or an admiral, or a commander of a starship in some way.
Okay - what do YOU have?

BEWITCHED and I DREAM OF JEANNIE both existed in a world where magic was real. Not too much of a stretch to make it the same world.

A point to consider in this game, tho, is to maybe try avoiding the Hawkeye/Green Arrow scenario. That's where fans team similar characters, instead of looking for odd combos -- like J'Onn J'Onzz and Johnny Storm.

Lost meets Gilligan's Island.
Arnold and Willis from Diff'rent Strokes appear on The Wire. Maybe hang out with Omar.
The 70s Hulk meets the 60s Batman and Robin.
Lost in Space gets a visit from Doctor Who.
Frasier and Niles Crane meet Dr. Robert Hartley from The Bob Newhart Show. If you're talking crazy crossovers you need some psychiatrists in there.

I never watched "Lost", but would it have been cooler if they came across a piece of wreckage with "Jupiter 2" on it? And possibly a piece of a "bubble headed booby"?
From everything I heard about that show, anything could have happened.

THUNDERBIRDS and THE PRISONER (a puppet Patrick McGoohan, eh?). Number Six puts in a call to International Rescue: "Rescue me from the Village!"
ROBIN HOOD and WILLIAM TELL. In 14th century Switzerland, William Tell discovers a manuscript supposedly written by Robin Hood (England, circa 13th century). Via the use of flashbacks, Robin Hood and William Tell "team up" to unveil a conspiracy that could have ramifications for the world.
MACGYVER and STARGATE: SG-1. MacGyver, of the Phoenix Foundation, teams up with Colonel O'Neill of SG-1 to prevent an alien cult destroying the earth in order to fulfil an ancient prophecy.

I'd heard there was an actual proposal in the revival-happy '80s for Barnaby Jones to take a case to find an eccentric millionaire missing from Beverly Hills. Possibly Buddy Ebsen decided he was too old to do a dual role on a TV schedule.
(I would guess the GLEE kids from Lima, Ohio never went down to Cincinnati to appear on WKRP radio.)

David Banner is hitch hiking through Hazzard County. No sooner does accept a ride from some good ole boys in an orange Dodge Charger when all of them get caught up in a corrupt get rich quick scheme of the County Commissioner. Banner and the Dukes have to stop Boss Hogg or the orphanage will be closed.

I am loving this thread. These all sound like so much fun! Kudos on a creative topic, Eric!
Susan, a young British girl traveling on her own, hires Jim Rockford to track down her missing grandfather. Strangely, his Trans Am gains time traveling capabilities after she changes out the spark plugs for some sort of oddly fluxing capacitor.
Sensing his coming end, inventor Frank Heflin ties in his miraculous CrimeScope computer in with the systems of the O.S.I., I.A.D.C., and Knight Industries to form a worldwide crime-fighting network. A hidden bank of computers near Gotham similarly benefits from these enhanced intelligence gathering capabilities. Suddenly, lone operatives and agencies that had conducted their battles against evil separately can operate closely in tandem with one another. Join us as Jaime, Diana, and Barbara team up with Lori and Judy, Steve joins forces with Bruce, Dick, and Michael, and evildoers across the globe find themselves cowering under the canopy of the "Electra-Sphere."
Doctor Johnny Fever's career hits rock bottom as he broadcasts from a tiny rural North Carolina station in "Mayberry W.R.F.D."
Seeking to find a way to do journalism to the high standards they believe necessary, Anchorman Will McAvoy and the former staff of ACN travel the world in search of a place that is not dominated by venal, short-term, profit-seeking politics. They wind up on Living Island in the trippy, psychedelic world of Sid and Marty Krofft. It's Ted Koppel and Tom Brokaw meet Timothy Leary this November on "NewsShroom!"
And stay tuned next season for the inevitable spin-off series, "Sloane Sabbath and the Sea Monsters!"

You know, there really was a crazy crossover with Bob Newhart (as Dr. Robert Hartley) and Murphy Brown back in the 90s. One of the running gags in Murphy Brown (played by Candice Bergen) was she could not maintain a secretary for more than one episode. This running gag went on for years until she got "Carol" (who was played by Marcia Wallace, who played Carol the receptionist in the Bob Newhart Show).
Bob shows up at the end of the episode pleading for Carol to come back with him, as the office has gone to rat shit in her absence.
