Iíve deceided to start this as I really struggled to get to 10 themes in the TV section. There are some really good themes that I wanted to include but didnít.

But this is slightly different. This is going to ask for themes and incidental music that was in TV that people can recommend. No limit to how much people want to post as the purpose of this is to recommend new music choices for people.

Some starters from me:
Edge of Darkness - the Tv version obviously. Music by Eric Claptonís and Michale Karen (I think this was his first score). Perfectly fit the mood of the story.

Robin of Sherwood - Clannad. This was a kids TV show, but you wouldnít know if from the production values.

Harryís Game - also by Clannad. Produced before RoS but shares many of the musical themes.

Ultraviolet - I ended up recording from the DVD sections of this music because I liked it so much. Iíve never been able to track it down in any format which has been a long source of frustration to me.

The 60`s Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, the theme and
incidental music is brilliant.Try Youtube for stuff you
can`t get on cd,vinyl etc as someone may have uploaded
what you need James.
As you can see from my list, Barry Gray does great
themes and incidental music in my opinion.

I find mini-series tend to get more coherent and quality scores than regular TV series (do agree with you about Robin of Sherwood -- that is one of the few albums from a TV series that I have ever bought).

I'd recommend Lonesome Dove by Basil Poledouris.

Thanks both.

Bill - I like Barry Gray as well. Iíve used YouTube for some pieces of music in the past but some remain elusive or of poor quality.

Mogwai's soundtrack for French series 'Les Revenants' is hauntingly good and works as an album in its own right.
