A problem that keeps cropping up on the forum is people having trouble posting links so I thought I'd show how I do it (there are different ways of doing it). This is using the full site on either my laptop or my tablet. I haven't tried it on the mobile site.

Copy the URL of the site you want your link to lead to...

Highlight the word(s) you wish to turn into a link (If you just want to post the full URL you can skip this step) and then click on the web-link button...

This will open the following box...

You paste your URL here and click "OK"...

Your link text should now be underlined.

You can now go ahead and complete your post.

And just to prove it works: This is my link.

And that's it. Hope this helps!

A few more things:

1) One point of failure is that the box prefills “http://“ and people paste a full address after that. Paste OVER it if you have an address that begins with http:// or https://

2) If you have WYSIWYG editing disabled, you’ll get two dialog boxes. One asking you for your URL address and one asking for what text you want to appear.

3) If you still can’t figure it out, you can still create a link by entering BBCode (remove the spaces before the end brackets):

[URL=http://www.myWeb.com ]My Link[/URL ] My Link
[URL ]http://www.myWeb.com[/URL ] http://www.myWeb.com

The "hyperlink" function hasn't worked on my computer for a few months now.
I just noticed, because of the example above, the box that pops up does not have the sentence "byrrobotics.com needs some info from you."

I wonder if that's a clue...
