Stan Lee will no longer be making public signing appearances. Sad news, but I think he needs a well-deserved rest from such things. I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet him, and wish him well and good health. Here is the article on his retirement from signings:

Glad Stan can finally get a break.  He really didn't seem to be enjoying himself in the last few signings.

I really hope Keya Morgan gets his though.  Exploiting an old man is probably one of the worst things someone can do.  One night in the slammer for a false police report really isn't justice for this scum.

The pace Stan has been keeping up these past several years strikes
me as one that would be difficult even for someone 20 years his junior
to maintain, so good on him for finally (seemingly) retiring.

A concern would be that it's only been his pace that's kept him going.

Good point, JB. Not to be morose, but my grandfather lived with severe epilepsy his entire life and kept himself hale and hearty well into his sixties. My mother noted that it wasn't until he "had" to retire his civil servant job that he began to decline.

My uncle worked at Chrysler for nearly 40 years.  He was a happy, healthy man full of life and energy.  Active in the community and church.

He retired at 60.  He danced up a storm at his party and everyone was overjoyed about his new chapter of just relaxing and taking it easy.

He died a little more than a year later.  Heart attack while in the shower.

Let Stan do all he wants....how he wants.

But therein lies the question... does Stan enjoy the signings anymore, or was it his handlers pushing him to do it to keep their own coffers filled?

Stan seems to keep himself pretty busy, even without signings, in any event.

A thought that hadn't occurred to me. I guess the hope
is that Stan now has the opportunity to enjoy his time
and direct his energies the way HE wants.

I hope Morgan gets some real punishment.  He is truly scum.

I saw an interesting CBC tv Canada program about the abuses by court appointed guardians in absentia to very unwilling seniors in Clark County, Nevada. I think they should be re-running that on all kinds of U.S. channels instead of whatever 'reality' marathons are clogging up the public airwaves. Some information age. Maybe Frontline on PBS will pick it up though.
