Now a few episodes in. One of the issues of binge watching is you see more clearly how plot devices are added just so. Everything happens way to conveniently for "Dr. Smith".

This show reminds me more of Earth 2 than Lost in Space.

My wife is watching this right now... I find it overdramatic, dour and humorless.

It's like they're trying to re-do LOST IN SPACE by way of the '00s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.

I think it's unwatchable.  No fun to be seen or had.

I think for me lately, every story I see or read is all about personal redemption. Too much of that theme in stories lately.

I think the first season was as rough as I kinda knew it could be. A lot of characterization, conflict, division, and personal resolution.

I try to look at these shows and like it for what it is and not to hate it for what it isn't.

Now that we have all that out of the way, I actually look forward to season 2 (if there is one). I want to know more of the ongoing mystery.

But WHY does there need to be an ongoing mystery???  It seems that Netflix dramas have something like that in most of their shows.  Just do something fun.

Watched the first episode last night, i couldn`t get
past the plunge in temperature being SO severe as to
freeze that deep pool solid almost immediately, but the
characters are sitting around by the pool for hours with
bare heads and no signs of frostbite! Also, using
magnesium to thaw it?

I just finished the 1st season. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Not the Lost in Space of familiarity which isn't a bad thing.
