I like it. Haven't seen any reactions to it yet!

I like it too. Makes me realise that I haven't liked any of the logos since, oh, the Paul McGann TV movie, and that was a rejigging of the Pertwee era logo.

That top image is beautiful - the new Doctor has an instantly recognisable profile in the way that Tom Batker's Doctor did. Fingers crossed the new episodes live up to the good work coming out of the art department.

Am I imagining an evocation of the Voyager golden record?

No response to that, but if there was a "LIKE" button, I'd have hit it!

Let her be a doctor, already...she got in trouble for being a fake one in her last role...
I like the logo, but I'll wait for the full credit sequence before rendering a verdict...the 'gold splashing around' in the brief Twitter clip looks a lot like beer being poured in an ad.

New Who has always 'looked' good. This looks good too.

I got into a 'discussion' with people who think this new change is brilliant, whereas I see it as a semi-desperate gimmick. One already used on the Master becoming Missy, and I thought that was inspired actually. Still, I hope it turns out well. I just don't buy things being written to normalize Gallifreyans changing their gender. I'm all for aliens being alien but the only way this would fit for the established character to me is if someone else deliberately caused it. The Master was a very let-it-all-ride gambler type, a try anything person. Perhaps they will make it make sense to me, but I never bought the Christmas planet where it is night all the time, nor the moon being an egg that hatches something that gives birth to another, identical mass, craters and all, moon (and if it weren't identical mass there would be big changes earthside).

Looks good almost goes without saying, well written... well, hoo nose?

'21st century Who' has never been consistently well-written. The previous two show-runners had too many excesses and silly quirks('Clara Sue') that eroded the show's credibility. Even though some episodes momentarily rose above the dregs, and the lead actors were often able to make those lesser episodes bearable despite silly('The Paternoster Gang'), or downright idiotic('The moon is an egg') ideas, the acting alone could never completely take the smell of the stories away.
Now?  Well, with any luck, no more hammering over the head with the idea that the Doctor is nothing without the companion('Cosmic Bill', 'Clara, The Impossible Girl'..'The Doctor Donna'...'I'm sorry, Rose'...sheesh...)
The 'sex change gimmick"? Well, I didn't care for Missy, either, Michelle Gomez was basically just the same OTT quality as John Simm. I REALLY don't want Jodie Whitaker going down that road, just from 'the good side'.
It's impossible to judge that 'first pos-regeneration teaser' scene, as the tradition is for the Doctor to act kind of 'mentally challenged' immediately after a change. We'll just have to wait and see where the new Doctor 'lands'.

I don't like the color (and it has nothing to do with kidneys), but the design is cool.

Yes, the female sign is quite inventive, i much prefer
this logo to the Black Cab logo from Ecclestone`s era!

You have to turn the logo sideways, but the short line through the 'D', and the longer one through the 'H' and the O', if connected, make a not very well-formed 'Venus' astrological symbol. It's more subtle than just converting an 'O' would have been.

I don't know about that, Brian. You could argue that about anything. I could draw shapes, but could claim that by combining them, I'm drawing the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

I don't mean that in a facetious way, just that you could do almost anything if you really wanted to.

If the female sign was intentional surely they would have "Doctor" above "Who" and created it using the "O" from the first and the "H" of the latter (given that the design of the H in the above logo creates a small cross).

Not a coincidence, Bob. An illusion.

Or is the D the male symbol? Shield and spear. I can see it!

The official magazine is also getting a new look (out this Thursday, but subscribers like myself get it on a Wednesday):
