In some ways we have come a long way, in too many ways we have much farther to go on reaching racial equality and understanding. Now, as much as ever before, it is important to listen and understand the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

An inspiring leader - I find great comfort in his words at a time when I have lost complete faith in the current administration.

This speech is incredible and still sadly very pertinent.

This is my favorite MLK speech, made when he was in Memphis supporting striking sanitation workers. Sadly, it was his last speech.

Most people don't realize how much of a radical -- in the positive sense -- he was.

MLK is the main reason that while I'm a stone-cold atheist I can't dismiss Christians -- if not Christianity -- in toto.

I remain in awe of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s bravery and sacrifice, and hope that
one day the Dream will be realized. #alphaphialpha

My daughter's kindergarten class compared white and brown eggs yesterday, outside and inside and all around. It drove the point home for these tiny tots.

King was an amazing person -- not the least because he achieved so much at such a young age.
