I put all my CDs in binders are threw out the jewel cases and regretted it shortly thereafter. I found I really liked being able browse the spines and easily access something on a whim. So I didn't want to do the same thing with my DVDs/blu-rays.

What I did end up doing as my shelf space became tight was buy a bunch of slim DVD cases and putting a lot of my single-disc movies in those. I had a lot of beat-up cases (I buy a lot of used discs) that now look refreshed and take up half the space:

Sort? Hahahaha! I really do need to sort them though. At one time they were in alphabetical order, but now they are in four different places throughout the living room as I kept running out of space.

That reminds me, today I was at Ollie's buying a bunch of DC tpb's and HC comics for super cheap prices and had such a huge pile of them that the cute female clerk asked me as she rang them up, "So, are you an aficionado?"

I said, "Nice word, but no, I'm just an addict."

I had the same problem with DVD and blurays but I've gotten better with those. Now if I could only get my tpb and HC's under control because my library is running out of room.
