When the Canadian show "The Murdoch Mysteries" was shown on American cable they called it "The Artful Detective," though I think it's streaming on Netflix under its original name.

A change that went both ways: in its early days (1982-3) Britain's Channel 4 showed the 60s US anthology series THRILLER as BORIS KARLOFF PRESENTS, presumably because in the meantime there had been a British series called THRILLER which ran for several years. And in the US, Britain's THRILLER had been shown as a series of TV movies, each with its own opening credit sequence and often with a change of title from the British episode.

It appears that the Karloff series was officially titled THRILLER, but 'Boris Karloff Presents...' was its 'informal' title.
