Be sure to turn off the P2P updates feature. This killed our network at corporate for a few days until they figured out the problem: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2955491/window s/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-using-your-pcs-bandwidth-to-up date-strangers-systems.html

Thanks Gregory.

Mostly finished transferring over. Doing some file maintenance at the same time. And insuring all the custom files are into the correct folders and the applications can find them or in some cases importing/translating to the new format.

I hate the colour schemes or lack of colour colour schemes.

Well, I am concerned. I have posted 2 replies to another thread in the forum today and both are now missing. I did screen captures of my follow up post after posting it to have prove.

Should I suspect something with my internet browser? Could it be a forum problem?

I looked about the help and didn't locate a method to report a problem. Can anyone help or offer advise?

A month into the new computer and still haven't completed the shake down. I've been using Google Chrome as a browser, but I found the way it prints to be a problem. Tried MS Edge, but it failed as well. Finally re-established Internet Explorer 11 and mucked around with it until I got the results I wanted. Guess I'll be using two browsers from now on.

I was hoping for a noticeable speed difference, but I haven't seen it yet. A considerable amount of fluff and eye candy BS to identify and disable. Badges (icons replacing the cursor) seem to be a big thing.

Ah ha!

I didn’t accept them. Back to Windows 7 my computer went. One happy boy...

Around the time that Windows was trying to force users to make the switch, I Googled and found a way in the settings to keep the "upgrade" from being forced upon me. I haven't encountered any problems I am aware of from not having upgraded at this time. Sounds like I made the right decision.
