Thursday, December 7

  • Saints at Falcons - This means a ton to both teams, obviously. Serious division matchup which will take place again in just two weeks.  I watched the Falcons get stumped v the Vikes and although the Saints D isn't as good, I think they can slow them down as well.  With their two-headed monster at RB and the Saints playing really well on the road, I can't move off the hot team.

Saints.  Ryan is having a fine season but Brees has played on another level (17 TD, 5 INT, 71.7 completion%) plus he's got Freeman and Coleman.   Another must-win loss for Atlanta, who has really disappointed this year.

Saints can play with a lead and seem to have a sort of magic right now.  If they jump out in front they may lead the whole game.

Thursday night this week belongs to Kevin Brown, the only one to pick the Falcons to beat the Saint.  That was another injury(and penalty)-filled game, but at least they weren't openly violent towards each other like Pittsburgh-Cincinnati.

Good job, Kevin.  Two weeks in a row!

Honestly, I was surprised no one else picked Atlanta.  But I'll take it!

And the rest...

Sunday, December 10
  • Colts at Bills

  • Vikings at Panthers - A win and we claim the division.  SKOL VIKINGS!!!

  • Bears at Bengals

  • Packers at Browns - I said it a month ago: the only chance the Browns have of winning a single game would be this one.  Not going against that now. Browns win and the Pack will more than likely keep Rodgers on the shelf until next season.

  • 49ers at Texans

  • Raiders at Chiefs

  • Lions at Buccaneers

  • Cowboys at Giants

  • Titans at Cardinals

  • Jets at Broncos

  • Redskins at Chargers

  • Seahawks at Jaguars

  • Eagles at Rams - I want the Rams to win so that the Vikes keep the overall lead in the NFC, but I think the Eagles regroup after last week's loss.

  • Ravens at Steelers

Monday, December 11

  • Patriots at Dolphins

Like Brown said, a week full of potential upsets.  A ton of games between shitty teams that could go either way as well.

Whoa.  Six disagreements?  Should I be worried?  You're thirteen  games behind, you yutz - go for it!

Sunday, December 10

  • Colts at Bills

  • Vikings at Panthers - Could be a barn-burner.

  • Bears at Bengals - Closer than you'd think.  Bengals will have a hangover.

  • Packers at Browns (MATT DISAGREES) - Gutsy call and I kinda hope you're right!

  • 49ers at Texans

  • Raiders at Chiefs (MATT DISAGREES) - Chiefs finally pull it together in a rivalry game.

  • Lions at Buccaneers (MATT DISAGREES) - Detroit will find a way to miss the playoffs.

  • Cowboys at Giants - Two teams that are not having fun this year.  Giants with the new coach will either struggle or play off emotion and romp.

  • Titans at Cardinals (MATT DISAGREES) - I NEED THIS.

  • Jets at Broncos (MATT DISAGREES) - I may not pick the Broncos again in my life.

  • Redskins at Chargers - Yep.  Traveling west has killed better teams than Washington and the Chargers are better than their record.

  • Seahawks at Jaguars (MATT DISAGREES) - Russell Wilson.

  • Eagles at Rams - Dramatic showdown.

  • Ravens at Steelers - Steelers poised to sweep their division.  Ravens defense is back.  Joe Flacco is still Joe Flacco.  Pittsburgh's third prime time outing in a row will be an emotional game.

Monday, December 11

  • Patriots at Dolphins - zzzZZZZZzzzz...

  • Bears at Bengals

  • Packers at Browns

  • 49ers at Texans

  • Raiders at Chiefs Frontrunner Chiefs playing their way to the rear.

  • Lions at Buccaneers

  • Cowboys at Giants Angry Manning plays well after streak needlessly ended by a desperate, now-fired coach?

  • Titans at Cardinals

  • Jets at Broncos

  • Redskins at Chargers

  • Seahawks at Jaguars Good matchup

  • Eagles at Rams Another good matchup.

  • Ravens at Steelers Should be Pittsburgh easily but this div game makes me nervous

Monday, December 11

Early games...

Sunday, December 10

  • Colts at Bills - Right.  Now that's football weather!

  • Vikings at Panthers - Wrong.  Too many self-inflicted wounds.  Never want a loss, but I'm fine with it.  We've played 4 of the last 5 on the road and no one thought we'd go 4-1 over that stretch.  SKOL VIKINGS!!!!

  • Bears at Bengals -  Wrong.  The Bungles have folded.  Marvin Lewis will be fired at the end of the season.  They need a change.

  • Packers at Browns - Wrong. HAGERMAN RIGHT.  So close, but the Browns are the Browns by inexplicably throwing an INT in OT when Kaiser should have just taken the sack.

  • 49ers at Texans - Wrong

  • Raiders at Chiefs - Wrong. HAGERMAN RIGHT. Ugly loss by the Raiders.

  • Lions at Buccaneers - Right.  HAGERMAN WRONG!!!

  • Cowboys at Giants - Right.

3-6 so far and 1-2 v Hagerman. Now it's on to root for the Rams over the Eagles so we stay tied at the top of the NFC.

What an amazing day of football.  I got to see that INSANE, INSTANT CLASSIC Buffalo-Indy game which, let's face it, would have been a snorer in a dome.  Eagles-Rams unfolded pretty much exactly how I thought it would.  And Ravens-Steelers?  That's AFC North football right there.

  • Titans at Cardinals - Wrong. HAGERMAN RIGHT

  • Jets at Broncos - Right! HAGERMAN WRONG!!!

  • Redskins at Chargers - Right

  • Seahawks at Jaguars - Right!  HAGERMAN WRONG!! Statement game by the Jags. I just had a feeling...

  • Eagles at Rams - Right...but what a cost.

  • Ravens at Steelers - Right

Monday, December 11

  • Patriots at Dolphins - Wrong.  Shockingly wrong.

I go a mediocre 8-8 on the week (the late games really saved me) and split 3-3 with Hagerman.  For the season I'm 141-67 and 37-24 v Hagerman.
