I started "Dark", a German TV show distributed by Netflix and have two episodes out of ten done. So far I am liking it. People online are saying to stay away from the dubbed version of the show preferring the German language with English subtitles. It is a small town mystery show with some similarities to "Stranger Things", but there is a time travel aspect to the show and that is why I point it out. The JBF seems to like time travel in general. =)  Any one else watching this one?

Watching this show in German is challenging. The language barrier is enough, but with time travel there are other things to consider. Almost every major character has more than one actor playing them since the events depicted are in 2019 and 1986. I have been watching two episodes a day and would recommend the same to anyone approaching this series. You can't stay away from it very long or you will simply forget who is who and what they are trying to achieve. So block out five evenings in a row and give it a go. The series has quite a time paradox to consider.

Finished "Dark" and it is mind boggling. I enjoyed it, but it is an intellectual challenge to keep things straight in your head. The show centers around a pivotal pivotal time period during November in 1953, 1986 and 2019. It examines fate, choice and the consequence of our decisions. I give it a thumbs up and will most likely watch the English dub as a second viewing. It is a very disturbing time travel mystery.
