Anyone catch the premiere of this show? I came into it knowing zero about the comic or characters, but was intrigued by the trailer and kind of curious to see a different flavour of superhero product from the Disney-ABC-Marvel beast.

I enjoyed the first two episodes rather a lot.

I am microscopically intrigued by this, as it seems to bear a strong resemblance to one of the last things I was asked to work on at Marvel, which was developing a TV version of (wait for it!) THE ETERNALS.

Yup, this show reads as exactly what they asked me to do with that series!

Im waiting for all the episodes to be available before starting. Im really impressed with the casting. Other than aging up Molly (which is understandable because otherwise shed be an old looking 10 year old after the first season) and making her Latina, the characters look pretty spot on.

Just remembered it was Bob Harras who asked me to work on the ETERNALS project, so it was longer ago than I thought!

After watching the first couple of episodes with my youngest daughter (14), I started calling Runaways "Pretty Little Mutants" because some of the teen drama reminds me a bit of "Pretty Little Liars."

Then, after watching the third episode, it dawned on me that the show's storyline also bears more than a passing resemblance to the general storyline from "House of Anubis," so now I've started referring to the show as "Pretty Little House of Anubis Mutants."

Overall, though, fairly enjoyable, IMO.

I enjoyed Brian K. Vaughn's run on RUNAWAYS (the only original superhero concept in, like eons). So I'd be happy to watch this. But..I don't have Hulu.

Is Cloak and Dagger also going to be on Hulu?

CLOAK AND DAGGER is going to be on Freeform, and from the trailer, its going to be more focused on teen romance.

Just started last night. Could go badly but so far I'm liking it.

Characterizations are pretty true to the comic. Chase seems a little off. He's lighter in the comic I think, more of a surfer dude? Maybe I'm mis-remembering?

I'll watch more

I have 3 episodes so far on my planner, too much other
stuff to watch at the moment, is it worth a look? I say
this as a summer of Wimbledon and World Cup football
lurk on the horizon...urrrrgh!

I saw the first three or four episodes of the first season of this on a cable channel in Canada but then lost track of it. It was originally meant to be a movie back in 2008? It aired here not long after Legion and The Gifted started which I did make sure to find each week. I've noticed a few Hulu shows have been run on Canadian specialty channels.

I've never read the comic, but I enjoyed the series. As well as my 11yo daughter.
