Look at this:

I worry that we'll keep "subdividing" terminology and it'll all become unwieldy.

Plus is TWIN PEAKS really an 18-hour film?

I worry that we'll just complicate things. Can't recall the film (PROMETHEUS, maybe?) but one reviewer described it as not a prequel, not a reboot...but something else. Well, what then?

The more words and terminology we create for movies, the more complicated it'll be come (especially when you factor portmanteaus into it).

I say we call them all "corpses". Cinema is as dead as jazz.

I just read a capsule review for BLADE RUNNER 2049 that referred to the film as a "legacyequel."

I'm sure they were trying to be cute, but you know someone else is bound to pick up on that one!

Just call it a movie and move on with your day.

Some terminology is useful - if a prequel is out, it's useful for me to know it's a prequel - but we seem to forever be "sub-dividing" terminology or coming up with portmanteaus.
