Another thread about the Champions posits that most people think Hercules is stronger than Thor. Personally, I disagree, but let's see what everybody thinks.

I want your opinions on which Marvel character is the second strongest, and why. That's ONE character, Marvel character, and only physical strength. Elsewhere you can posit that the Silver Surfer is more powerful than the Thing, but I am talking about ONLY physical strength.

And I am banning the selection of the Hulk because his upper limits are too vague. The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets - so conceivably, with enough rage, he could outmuscle the Living Tribunal or Galactus. Or maybe he couldn't. If someone wishes to put up a Hulk thread, go to... but you can't pick him here.

Which Marvel character is #2 regarding muskles?

Hercules is only a half -god isn't he ? So I'd go for Thor.

Wonder Man

Many times he's been referred to as "second only to Thor" when it comes to strength.

I would say namor underwater. He's beaten the thing there and I can't
recall him ever being overpowered while in the sea

Gladiator.  Wasn't he supposed to be the equivalent of Superman?

What's our range, here? Characters like Galactus and Eternity are not normally rated for strength, but theirs would be nearly infinite.

Being banned from picking Hulk implies someone other than the Hulk is #1. Who is #1 for the premise of this thread?

I interpreted Eric's post as him believing Thor is #1.

I figured you can't select the Hulk
because he is number 1.
