Long enough to delay him doing anything else.

••

Yeah, I doubt his pages per month will ever come near Kirby's production.

Art Adams is among my favorite artists, so I do enjoy seeing his take on my favorite artist's work.

I just can't get enough of Art Adams. Not only an expression since his output is so small.

...

That's not on the full poster just that close up. Looks like somebody did some editing...

Must admit my gaze was drawn to those ridiculous breasts and then to how sexy the ones on JB's original are.

Although I like Adams’ work. I’m not a fan of his rendition of Sue. She looks too young for a start and very sexualised. Always saw her as a strong mature woman. Not a young damsel in distress...

Sue is Marvel's #1 MILF, but some artists tend to lock on that, and forget that she is elegant and poised -- in a word, CLASSY!

Trevor, he almost always draws women's face like that. That is just Adam's style. It always burned me up for all those years that JB got crap for faces. People would say that all his character's faces looked the same. Well, duh. That's how he draws faces, the same way artists draw stylized bodies as well (Adams or Adam Hughes with the big, er, chest area). Almost all comic book artists' drawn faces kind of resemble one another, because that's part of their style. (The exceptions being guys like Alex Ross who use models for each character.) With Byrne, as with the other comic book artists, there were subtle differences with each face. It's funny though, you never heard people saying, "Man, all those Schulz faces in Peanuts look the same, you can only tell people apart by their hair, head size and shape, and clothes."

Shane, I understand what your saying but Sue is pretty off model. I'm sure Art can draw mature faces. Anyway, I'm not hating on Adams' work as I like his stuff in general. I'm just not a fan of how he drew Sue.

Can I just add that the POSE of Sue by JB has much better angles to it... the curves, the position of her hands are more "natural" and I really like the twist of her torso. Her pose really expresses her despair more than Adams' version does.

Did I mention I love Sue's hands?! :)

Trevor, I didn't think you were crapping all over Adams, just writing about that made me flashback to the whole faces thing I argued with people about over the years. I much prefer JB's Sue and also that original cover to Art Adams' take. But the young faces on women with big ole boobs is kind of part of Adams' style at this point.
