Graviton could give them a pretty good fight, as could the Absorbing Man. The Wizard (from the Frightful Four) might be an interesting adversary to throw at them, as would MODOK or the Mad Thinker. Alpha Flight's Master of the World would be an offbeat choice as well. Ultimately, though, I agree that they need their own major enemy to be *their* nemesis.

What Ronald said…
WOW.
If only we could identify and defeat the dreaded super villain who takes control of forum members' fingers and forces them to type responses that ignore the thread starter's instructions.

Michael, I considered him as well. Why do you think he'd make a good foe for the Champions?

Indeed.
My motivations are twofold: firstly, who wants to read a "shopping list" of choices from ANYONE? That gets tedious. My one-choice only rule is to make people think long and hard about something.
At a party recently, I was asked to name my favourite heavy metal album. Just one. I could easily have rattled off 20, 30 or more, but by being forced to choose one, it made me THINK harder. And that's satisfying. Just for clarification, it's okay to comment on other people's choices, so do knock yourself out with that, folks, but as far as picking an opponent, one only.

Robbie,
Are you just referring to the original 5 members or including Darkstar and Black Goliath?
On paper (in which these stories are presented) the team of Herc, Black Widow, Iceman, Angel and Ghost Rider isn't that tough of a line-up. Throw in the heroes above, then we may have more heavy hitters to confront the real bad-asses.

Just a personal preference, James, but I went with the original line-up from issue #1. You say they are not that tough of a line-up. That's precisely why I chose that line-up so that we can really put them through their paces. ;-)

Mind you, you're a brave man for saying they're 'not that tough of a line-up'. If you could go and say that direct to Hercules' face, I'll wait for you over here... ;-)
