I believe I am right in saying it is now past the originally stated publication date for this book.

I also reckon this was going to be the first volume with Alden McWilliams' artwork.

Please don't tell me this has been cancelled! The Checker reprints also solicitated volume 6 but it was AFAIK never published.

Does anyone out there have any news of this volume?

In the same situation as you. I received my cancellation notice a few days ago from Amazon and can't find any information about this version online. Hopefully, this is just a temporary situation.

Hey, guys--we did cancel Volume 6 right now due to low orders. It's not formally cancelled but it's been removed from current production, anyway. If orders tick up and we can make it work, we'll definitely re-solicit it and make it happen.

There seems to be interest in this material for the first few volumes but the last couple have been roughly break-even and Volume 6 was looking worse than that.

I find this frustrating. I started purchasing these volumes in the hope of having a complete set, only to find there is a high chance that it won't be completed. Kind of like buying Season One of a DVD TV series only to find there won't be a Season Two. The only recourse is to wait until the complete series has been released before ordering to ensure it will be completed.

I guess I am naive in the ways of publishing but I would have assumed if the plan was to release a complete set, budgeting would be set up in order for this to happen. I guess not.

And how will orders pick up when it has been removed from Amazon for pre-ordering? I had pre-ordered it but the option has gone.

I was both sad & glad to only have two volumes of the Stardate HCs. Sad that there weren't any more but glad to at least have those 2.
