True. It happened here with a toy tiger (if "toy" is the right word for a cuddly inanimate animal).

Other people have reported creatures which turned out to be wildcats.

I do think there is something psychological about 'finding' things. If you have a film crew with you, and enter a 'haunted' house, then you will 'find' something because you WANT to find something.

If I saw a ghost in my flat tonight, that would change a lot for me! I'm not seeking to. If it ever happens, it'll happen. But if someone came into my flat looking for a ghost, they'd 'find' one.

For a more scientifc approach, I recommand checking out what Dr. Jeff Meldrum has to say on the subject.

I thought I saw a Bigfoot once, but it turns out I was just at a con seeing a Chewbacca cos-player. :)

Bill C. - don't forget that teasing them with beef jerky is also a very bad idea. Beef jerky isn't good for them. Teasing them isn't good for YOU.

Perhaps, and I'm not the first person to say this, Bigfoot is Cain from the Bible. Perhaps the "Mark of Cain" was him being turned into the creature we know as Bigfoot/Sasquatch.

Or maybe Bigfoot is Satan. Satan's appearance is never described in the Bible, right? The various other creatures are the demons we hear about in the New Testament.

Personally, I reckon they are escaped gorillas. There must be a lot of zoos and circuses in the US, some gorillas are bound to have escaped.

Tricky question. He was supposed to be the most beautiful of God's angels, but we're not really told if he got to take that with him after the Fall.

The traditional horns, cloven hooves, etc, seem to have derived from Pan, as does our word "panic". Typical that Christians should be most afraid of the god who was having the most fun.

Ah, interesting. I always wondered about the traditional horns and cloven hooves.
