Name your favorite song with the word "NIGHT" in the title.

Any genre, any time period.

Also you may list a close runner up if so inclined.

Nice one Mario.

Who's version do you like the best?

Well, Sinatra's is a classic, of course. I also like Lena Horne's.

Oh, and runner up: TOMORROW NIGHT. LaVern Baker, Elvis, Dylan, Patty Griffin, I like them all.

There are quite a few strong contenders. I think I'll go with December '63 (Oh What A Night) by the Four Seasons.

Close runner up: I Drove All Night by Roy Orbison (the video with Jennifer Connelly is a factor, I admit).

Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting - Elton John.

Close runner up: Night Fever - The Bee Gees.

I did a search of my computer and these two jumped out at me:
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

The AC/DC song makes almost every play list I make, so it must be one of my all time favorites.

Popular title word.  I searched my computer and I have 121 songs with it!

Excluding some good ones already named, I'd add:

Nights In White Satin - The Moody Blues
Because The Night - 10,000 Maniacs

Could've easily listed five more I like quite a bit.

My first inclination was;
You Shook Me All Night Long- AC/DC
And that's what I'm sticking with.

Lots of great choices. I've been listening to them as they pop up.

But wait, no love for the Bay City Rollers?

Oh, sorry. Didn't see the limit. Right now, I'd say Night Moves by Bob Segar.

NIGHT MOVES by Seger.
The one song I've clung to amid the gaggle of Seger songs that've
populated the airwaves throughout my life. There's so much truth
involved, and we've pretty much all been there. The arrangement is
quite subdued for the Detroit City rocker, and I love the backup singers
as it fades out.

(It's a wonderful and sophomorically funny 3 minutes when the song
comes on the radio at work. Those among us uninitiated may still never
know that, once the outro chorus starts to kick in, we, the initiated, are
not singing "Night Moves" in unison, but "Nice Boobs". Any excuse to
giggle like a 10yr old in the pressure and heat of a busy restaurant
kitchen. )

I'm changing my Sam Cooke choice to:
The Band - The Night the Drove Old Dixie Down.

One of my favorite songs, I don't know how I forgot it.
