it's on Saturdays at 9pm. Also on catch up, seems to have a fair few big names interviewed but not actually watched it as yet.

Is it "Superheroes Decoded"? It was on here in the States a couple months back. It wasn't bad, but some people seem to think they know a hell of a lot more about comics than they really do...Still, I think it's worth a watch.

I don't know about this one, but I have seen so many PR-friendly superhero documentaries which bring nothing new to the table - and merely rehash stuff that has been done better elsewhere.

It was ok,nice to see some comic creators in the flesh!
Plenty of J.B. art in ep 2.One question...was the
narrator American when it was shown in the U.S.? We had
an English narrator who`s voice sounded familiar, but i
forgot to check the credits before deleting the progs!

The narrator of "Superheroes Decoded" was one Mr. Kevin Conroy. Enhanced the show immensely.

For a lot of folks on this board, it's not much new (present company included.) My wife, however, was delighted with it - and didn't mind me chipping in with items they omitted. So if you're not at Mr. Byrne's level of familiarity of comics... you may just like it.

Why spend money on a new narrator,it`s not as if us
Brits are averse to an American accent?

A lot of toddler cartoons recast the American voices to British actors. Shows like LITTLE EINSTEINS did it. It can get some getting used to when you hear the American accents on the DVDs

Bill, as a wise philosopher once noted, when the question is "why", the answer very often is "money." Perhaps the contract with Mr. Conroy was only for the American broadcasts. Perhaps the producers of the British version thought that whomever they got to narrate is more interesting than Batman... beats me, but I'm not into British broadcasting and narrators.

It makes no sense to me either though. Why reinvent the wheel? Especially the ones on the Batmobile??? ;)

I would have thought that a show dedicated to the rise
of American Superheroes would benefit from a U.S.
accented narrator worldwide! Nice to see George R.R.
Martin`s letter and Stan`s reply in ep 2.
