Remember when you and I were comparing him to Hitler a while back and we were all but excoriated on here for it?

There's no difference in George Washington and Robert E. Lee.

CNN is right now showing a peaceful candlelight march in Charlottesville. The people marching are there to show their city is not about hatred and racism.

A point being frequently expressed is that they did not announce the march on social media because they did not want Nazis and other degenerates showing up.

So, question: how is CNN broadcasting this helping?

It does fucking GREAT for CNN.

But while the media shows us every atrocity and blasphemy that occurred in Charlottesville... it ain't out of the good of their hearts. They aren't out there to help. Their sole intention is to gain viewers. The old comment remains true... "If it bleeds, it leads."

On a fantastic documentary Diane and I have been watching, we saw a moment of David Brinkley doing a story. Oh dear, do I miss dispassionate, well researched and reliable news broadcasting. Try to find that today...

The first thing I did this morning (it's 6am here) was check the news to see if anything bad had occurred at that candlelight vigil. As I'd watched CNN last night I'd been waiting for something horrible to happen. There was even a moment when the sound was heard of a small plane passing over the crowd, and dozens of faces turned upward with eyes wide. I tensed up myself, waiting for dynamite to start dropping on the gathering.

I suppose Trump would have found a way to support that, too.

Trump making a deal "for immunity" would be a confession on his part that he is guilty of actual criminal acts. He's a black hole sized asshole, but so far the breaking of the law is being handled, it seems, by his cronies and stooges. That's part of the problem. We cannot yet point at him and cry "J'accuse!", no matter how much we wish we could.

I don't think "being a colossal meathead" is an impeachable offense. (Who'd escape whipping?) Especially with the Republicans in charge.

And Dog help us if he's impeached and, like Clinton, walks away unscathed. He'll be totally off the leash!

Don't you think he's dangerous, JB? If Trump were just "being a colossal meathead", many of us by now wouldn't be so upset... and worried about his words and possible actions going forward.

By the way, Jimmy Kimmel got some mean tweets for his monologue the night before concerning Kimmel's message to Trump voters - pretty funny:

C!
