Well, I enjoyed this episode.
I liked the tone of the episode and I also like the "new" Iris. I hope this is a turning point for the character and from now on she's a little more like her doppleganger from Earth 2.
The resolution of the cliffhanger seemed a little rushed, but since I didn't like the cliffhanger, it's fine by me. Let's forget about that and let's begin with something else. Great. By the way, I have the feeling that this has also happened with Legends and Arrow's cliffhangers. And in the case of Arrow that's not such a good thing IMHO.

Awesome sight to see the Flash and Elongated Man work together. Never expected THAT to make it to TV. So, he'll be part of Team Flash now as they say goodbye to Wally...
Curious to see how his character develops... and this week we have Katee Sackhoff as a new villain, Amunet Black.
The fun, the silliness of the episode is a welcome change from last season seriousness.

I have to agree with Ralph, that uniform, yuck.
Hopefully Cisco's second iteration will be soon. I vote for the black and red suit.

Even though they changed him into a jerk (at least temporarily), it's great to see the Elongated Man in live action! (Something I never ever thought I'd see!) The guy they picked is perfect!

Jessica Parker Kennedy's character (the awkward server who started a conversation with Barry at the wedding ceremony) was totally XS, yes? She could be Dawn Allen, but I'm hoping she's XS.

I don't know who XS is, must be after my time.
Pretty cool throwdown at the wedding.

She's from the Zero Hour reboot of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Barry and Iris' granddaughter and cousin of Impulse.

The new (mid)season started last night. SPOILERS, as if ya didn't know...
It was awkward. Barry is quite insistent that he's not going to lie, and he's not going to run... except that he has to run when Fallout* threatens to explode in downtown Central City, and he has to lie about it.
I mean, I'm no Bob Ingersoll, but there HAS to be something about this that's super fishy. There has to be some kind of scheme, I suppose, but I couldn't see it. Barry provides no defense, no explanation, doesn't even help out in his own case - and he KNOWS he didn't do it. So... did he want to go to Iron Heights for some reason?
Instead, he lets Devoe's plan just go on as it's set up. Barry is practically an accomplice. Hell, his attorney could have called the Flash as a witness to testify that he KNEW beyond the shadow of a doubt that Barry was not in his apartment when Devoe was killed... and THAT isn't even a lie!
But the big punch line? Had Barry Allen admitted to being the Flash publicly, it undoubtedly would have influenced the jury... but it wouldn't have legally made any difference, unless Barry was in action as the Flash when Devoe's body was killed. A super hero can still kill someone in cold blood.
I guess this may be leading somewhere sneaky... but if so, it wasn't set up in a very satisfactory manner. I guess I'll anticipate being REALLY surprised in the coming weeks...
*Fallout is Neil Borman?!?!? SERIOUSLY?

Sure it would. It provides an explanation for Barry’s claim of an elaborate frame-up and counters the prosecution’s attack on Barry’s character as someone who habitually disappears and is late.
What I don’t understand is why Cecile didn’t question why an experienced CSI would be so sloppy and kill someone in his own home with his own knife. That’s not a premeditated murder. Barry should have gotten at least 2nd degree or voluntary manslaughter. And no one thought to question the timeline? Barry went straight from Joe’s house to his and Iris’ place where the police are called so they can arrive conveniently as Barry is standing over Devoe’s body? It should be obvious to Singh that it was a setup.
I appreciate that they didn’t belabor Barry’s arrest and trial, but the whole thing was dumb.

One more major thing not brought up at trial by Cecile: What happened to Devoe's wheelchair? Every time Singh saw him, he was in a wheelchair. That's a pretty big thing to not be noticed by anyone.... including the writers apparently.

Whatch any courtroom scene from any episode of Law and Order and you'll see how childishly bad the writing on this episode of the Flash was. The decline in the quality of this show is staggering.

Too bad. I gave up halfway through last season, and was thinking of jumping back in after learning about Plastic Man.

'Barry has been running his whole life.' So, just in case we forget the whole 'running' thing, now he can 'outrun' this latest obstacle.Meh.

You'd almost think after years of doing Law & Order, Jesse Martin could give them a few pointers. They made a point that Barry's DNA was found under Davoe's fingernails, and my first question was where were the corresponding scratches on Barry? As pointed out the timeline didn't work.
Don't think the writing has declined really. All the time-travel stuff was equally badly done if not worse.

I'm not watching this show anymore. I do know that Elongated Man was introduced. The costume looked like crap (intentionally?). Is a new one going to appear?

They confirmed today that Wally is leaving the show and joining the cast of Legends of Tomorrow thus solving their too many Flashes problem.

There's a picture out that shows part of the costume. I like what I see of it, and am glad there's no mask. (He has goggles.)
Bill Goldberg (YOU'RE NEXT!!!!) is also supposed to be on the show, for two episodes. Apparently he's going to be playing Big Sir.
Great. They had to pick a character who was probably a Mort of the Month in WIZARD for him to play?

I keep looking at Ralph's costume, and I still can't tell if he's wearing goggles or a mask with facepaint.
The return of Mystery Girl! Some people think she's going to be Dawn Allen, but the way they keep playing up her spazzy awkwardness still has me rooting for XS. Her journal was supposed to be in Interlac, yes?
