Miyamoto Usagi from Usagi Yojimbo.

He's the only comic book character I've consistently picked up since his first appearance in Albedo #2 back in 1986.

Many of those characters listed up-thread were favorites of mine at one time, but changed for the worse IMHO over the years.

Wonder Man
From his redemption beginning thru the end of the seventies when I quit comics.

His almost reluctant Hero, lack of confidence (even with great power) personality seemed to resonate with my very shy younger self.

Of course the Perez, Byrne art didn't hurt!

Hawkeye.. and by Hawkeye, I mean the chip-on-his-shoulder, Mask wearing perpetually angry Clint Barton.

Hawkeye - from his origin until the early 2000s or so...when Marvel started screwing up all their classic characters.

Miyamoto Usagi from Usagi Yojimbo.

That may be the most consistently entertaining comic book being published
today.
