Such a legacy, especially for fans of horror.  Hugely influential for a whole generation of filmmakers.

Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorite movies. His work was as much about America as zombies.

stable. Hollywood has lost a legend.

"They're coming to get you Barbaraaaa."  If he'd done nothing but Night of the Living Dead his legacy would have been cemented.  He may have mined the zombie angle a bit too long but he did other interesting and fun things (Creepshow and the Tales From the Darkside tv show come right to mind.)  RIP

RIP.

Loved the social commentary in DAWN. And in later films like LAND and DIARY. He kept zombies relevant.

My brother and I love Night of the Living Dead.  If it was broadcast, we would watch it, even though we owned a copy.
