This is the first part of a 6 part series of shorts retelling the origin of Spider-Man for the new upcoming Spider-Man animated series.

And here is a preview clip from a latter episode of the regular series.

I don't care for the animation.

Animation was OK in some places, but the big problem I had was the scene of Spider-Man web-swinging above 'busy pedestrians'...who appear to be standing still.
In the origin flashback, Peter looked too much like Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter; Alistair Smythe looked like an odd mashup of Flash Thompson and Jimmy Olsen; and Harry Osborn and Liz looked nothing like Harry and Liz. Peter's discovery of his strength looked stupid.

Big meh. I suppose I'll eventually elaborate on this over in the HOMECOMING thread, but I'm not a fan of super-spaz, gee-whiz Peter Parker. That's just not who that character is.

To say nothing of the usual off-model character designs and arbitrary reassignment of personality traits and character roles/relationships.

Also not a fan of the continual shoehorning of Norman Osborn and/or Oscorp into Spider-Man's origin story.

I'm good with Lee/Ditko, thanks.

I'm not much of a Green Goblin fan, but don't mind it too much. I do think
that it would be more appropriate to involve Doctor Octopus though, since he
should be Spider-Man's #1 villain.
