Steven, I'm with you on that straight man and funny guy combos. I'd take Abbott and Costello, Martin and Lewis, and Hope and Crosby over all the choices.

Sadly, I can't think of any modern straight/funny combos I enjoy.

Matt Hawes - damn me for a fool, I missed that line about no write-ins. Deleted the offending post. Thanks.

Bill and Ted - they were the first ones that came into my head before I even saw your shortlist.

Very weak list of options when there are so many better ones that could be on the list. Several of those have only done one or two things together,  ignoring modern duos who have more legs underneath them.

I was going for a certain type of duo. If you don't like the list,  feel free to create your own post instead of being rude and fussy, Joseph.

No offense meant. I'm sorry I don't get what you are going for.

I state the things in the initial post, in the text and within the graphic. I also took care to note the list is not comprehensive  (and it was not intended to be).

Really,  why the need for so many to criticise? I was simply asking for others to play along and choose from a list I created for fun. Instead of just going with it, some people have to just make it known that they don't approve of my approach to this game, and they would do so differently.

Ok, do so differently: Create your own post instead of derailing of tearing at mine. Seriously,  nothing is preventing you from doing that.

Geez, what is it about some people that they simply MUST  express their dissenting opinion at all costs, just to let it be known?  Nobody put a gun to your head, here. Play along or don't. No need to bitch that the game isn't set up the way you would do it. Sigh.

Bill and Ted just edge out Cheech and Chong in my opinion.

It's odd for me because I usually don't like comedies with "stupid" characters in it. Yet all but two of these pairs I like.

Cheech and Chong, hands down, if you consider their comedy albums. I can remember rolling with laughter as a kid. Probably, I wouldn't be so impressed now, but then.........good laughs. As for their movies, maybe Up in Smoke had some good laughs, but the rest fell short of their albums.

Similar to what John Popa said, Dumb and Dumber made me laugh the most out of the associated films, so I'll go for Harry and Lloyd.
