Happy birthday, Neal Adams! I was just reflecting the other day on how many "quarter bin" comics I picked up solely on the strength of their cover, which I discovered much later were the product of Mr. Adams' talents.
Also a fine birthday to Gary, as well as my dad. He's a year older than Neal, but - sorry, pop - his drawings kind of stink.

Remembering years ago meeting Mr. Adams at a portfolio review at a Con... at the time he came off pretty harsh to a few "artists" standing in front of me, but I found his critique very honest and helpful. Hope he had a very Happy Birthday... He is a true living legend in the industry. Posting some of his art that has inspired me...
