I love that fan film! He's obviously been wanting to do Star Trek for a long time.

In the U.K. we are up to episode 3 `About A Girl` what
can i say? This was 80`s Next Gen at it`s best, with
added one liners. As with the Black Mirror 60`s Trek
homage,everything from set
design,direction,costumes,score etc is spot on.The
resolution to the episode was a brave and unexpected
choice.I find myself looking forward to the next episode
eagerly!

`A vagina doesn`t give you a lisp, depending on how you
use it` typical McFarlane!

Here is a young Seth McFarlane a few years after his fan-fic video, but still before "Family Guy," on an Adult Swim segment doing a bad William Shatner impersonation -- and being called out on it!

Extremely minor nitpick. I believe this is from SPACE GHOST COAST TO COAST in the mid-90s when Cartoon Network was just dabbling in late night weirdness, before Adult Swim became a formal thing in 2001. The only reason I bring it up is that MacFarlane is older than me, so the suggestion that he was that baby-faced in the 2000s was throwing me off.

I think your right Michael.

It was like Seth was doing Jim Carey doing Shatner :-)

I just read that season two may not be ready for fall 2018. So that means we probably won't get new episodes til next year. I also read it will have 2 more episodes than season one at 14, although since one of those is held over from the first season, it's really the same number. I was hoping they would expand it for the second season to 22 episodes but Seth MacFarlane stated he'd rather have 14 good episodes than having some of them seem like filler.

Admiral Halsey, i`m guessing Seth is a Paul McCartney
fan? Also on a musical note, i think just spotted
Journey`s Escape album art on Kelly`s office wall!

I vaguely remember noting the album cover art on the wall, but I thought it was a Boston album cover?

Really missing this show of late. Hope it's coming back on soon. Guess I'll try Google and see if there's a confirmed air date for its return....

And this is all I can find with speculation being that it will be sometime in September:

"@SethMacFarlane

To correct a bit of misreporting: No, there won’t be an Orville/Family Guy crossover, and yes, The Orville season 2 will arrive later this year.

9:20 AM - 7 Jan 2018"

So better news than the last time I read where it wouldn't return until possibly 2019.

ARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!

This is from the IMDb:

"When Star Trek was first introduced to television in 1966, it was set roughly in the year 2266, adding 300 years to the show's debut. When the first episode of The Orville opens a caption reads the year as being 2418, roughly 400 years added to the season's debut."

In fact, when TOS was introduced, there were two, possibly three references that set the series TWO hundred years in our future. The notion that it was EXACTLY 300 years hence came much later.

Rumor has it that Halston Sage might be leaving the show, which would be a shame. Haven't looked into it, though, so the rumors may very well be false.

The only rumor I've read about Halston Sage is that she's dating Seth MacFarlane. I know from past experience it's never a good idea to date your co-workers. Wonder if that's related to the rumor about her leaving.
