There are so many inspirational masterpieces in this thread. The self-portrait of JB with all the heroes surrounding him reminded me of how real it all felt back then. Thank you for posting.

That Byrne self-portrait with most of the Marvel characters he'd worked on would make a great poster. 

I've always really loved this two-page spread by John Paul Leon of Galactus facing off against the Celestials.

Frazetta again. I just love inks from classic illustrators. They don't "ink" the lines, they paint with ink.
