(Loved, loved, loved the Mattel "Space: 1999" Eagle and the Mego Pocket Heroes!)
I'm no vintage collector by any means, so I won't be trying to hunt down these originals at top-dollar collector prices... but it'd be fun to get these back in my mitts again:
(You have to give Kenner credit for going with such a bold, hot pink color for their packaging... in the middle of the "macho" 1970s!)
(My very first Mego superhero!)
(Many an hour was spent locking myself away in my closet, marveling at this glow-in-the-dark beauty!)
(C'mon... need I say more?)

I Gave my five year old at the time nephew my Batcave and numeroous Mego action figures back in 1992 and when my nephew out grew them my sister threw them away and I wish she would have checked with me first because we probably could have gotten some College money for him out of them.

I had the Hasbro Ghost Gun when I was a kid. Loved that thing, until I ran out of the ghost film strips.
Also had one of those flying shield toys which you could launch into the air, but I don't remember what character it was of, and when I type in `flying shield toy' in a search engine, all I get is modern Captain America shield toys. Bummer.

The two toys that always come to mind when a vintage toy topic comes up are the Evel Knievel stunt bike (with van) and the Kenner SSP racers. LOVED THOSE TOYS! they may not be true vintage era toys, but they are from my vintage childhood....ha.

My brother had this Mego Enterprise growing up and I'd love to own it now. Going through my mom's house several years ago, I was able to retrieve all of my Mego Star Trek figures, but it appears as though she tossed the actual Enterprise. I do, however, have the Captain's Chair and Console (although it's not yellow as depicted here but also blue). We had a ton of fun playing with it and I'd love to own it again...but not at eBay prices!

I know the van of which you speak, but I never had it. But I did have the stunt bike. Finally got it back after decades in a box when I went through my mother's house. I should have kept the stand (which I did not because we cleaned out SO much stuff from her house that I flaked and tossed it. Oh well.) but I've got the bendy figure and the bike, which is really all that I wanted.

Terron! This picture is from Google, but I still have the original toy, currently and probably foolishly entrusted to my nephews. I lost the remote control so long ago I forgot it came with a remote, but with fresh batteries the legs still twitch a little.
I had a Stretch Monster. I stabbed it to get a look at the gel inside. I was expecting something like grape jelly inside. It was not like grape jelly. It was not purple. It was not delicious. I was a stupid goddamn kid.

Oh dear I remember the stretch monster !! A friend of mine had it...Incredible how a mere photo of such silly plastic things can bring back a warm fuzzy feeling...I remember playing a lot with my Star Wars figures and the Micronaut ones too. One day I started to have Luke and Leia do weird things instead of the normal toy stuff. Something terrible was about to happen.

Terron, the Beast from Beyond! Man, this thread brings back memories.
I would try to get my Big Trac's laser to stun Terron...but the heights of the Trac's lightbulb and Terron's light sensor were just a little off.

I had this guy (Billy Blastoff) as a wee tot: To this day his disappearance is one of the great mysteries of my life. My mother maintains she has NO idea where he went. I can only assume I took him outside somewhere, forgot him there, and boom, gone. I just know he was one of my favourite toys.
Edit to add: I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one and maybe a couple of accessories to display, just for the memories, but ebay prices...oy.
