Fox News actually canned him today! Never thought it would happen.

Once again, the lesson is DON'T GET CAUGHT.One might wish for something of a loftier kind, but there you go.

Another lesson is: beware of those most vociferously preaching traditional Judaeo-Christian American values.
An incredible (yet all too credible) downfall, it is.

13 million dollars in settling sexual harassment lawsuits wasn't enough for Fox News to fire Bill O'Reilly. It took the potential to lose hundreds of millions more in advertising revenue for them to finally fire him. It would be nice to live in a world where just sexual harassment alone would have been enough to warrant his firing rather than a highly substantial financial loss. They didn't do the right thing until it was really going to cost them more than he was worth.

I was a big fan of his work on Hard Copy. It would be great if he could go back to reporting on late-breaking entertainment news. He would be a much needed moral searchlight.

Bill O'Reilly a moral searchlight? I find it difficult associating morality with him.

Anthony, you might need to reboot your sarcasm-detector; it appears to be on the fritz.

The only shocking thing about this whole thing? That it took so damn long to finally come out.

It's been out for some time. The phrases "loofah" and "Bill O'Reilly" have been synonymous for years now. Fox is a garbage dump that employs human garbage. This particular piece of it just happened to turn a fractional bit more toxic and had to be removed. If they could have kept him, sheltered and protected him as they've done for years, they'd have done so. Happily.
Now people who actually believe what Joe's written, whether Joe does or not, can employ him. And he'll make a lot of money for them and from them just as he'd done for years at Fox. We should all be glad odor-dispensing "smell-o-vision" tech hasn't gotten very far. If it could accurately replicate the stench off that network, the entire nation would reek of sewage. And O'Reilly's image onscreen would waft of putrid tomatoes and vomit.

I'm surprised "loofa" is the word associated with O'Reilly -- he kept calling a "falafel" in the recording, which is even funnier.
Anyway, it breaks my heart when bad things happen to good people. No doubt his mailing list of kind-hearted aged conservatives will contribute handsomely to his luxurious retirement.
