Pretty much everything there is what the customer asked for. 11x17The un-erased version, so you can "see the work" -- as well as my board! Some time back I had Jim Warden announce I would not be doing any more pieces with cover dress, but this one has been in the pipeline since before then!!

Beautiful! That would have made an action-packed issue! I'd be curious what kind of scheme Darkseid and the Joker would come up with. Interesting pair...

Random thought--John, do you prefer the Panther with his cape or without?

…do you prefer the Panther with his cape or without?•• Either works for me.

Once again I am reminded of something from which Roger Stern used to get big yoks. Back in the 70s, DC did a double page ad, featuring the banner "THE DC LINE OF SUPERSTARS!"At a glance, it read "The Decline of Superstars!"

Looks excellent. The Black Panther is my favourite part -- and the Joker's gun!

COOL... that's a very diverse issue of DETECTIVE COMICS with T'Challa AND John Stewart featured on the cover. I want that "issue"!!! :)
Congrats to the owner.

The Joker's smile reminds me of his first appearance and I like the eagle on Wonder Woman's front. Everything else is fantastic also, but those two things jumped out at me.

What I love about these "cover recreations" is how accurate JB gets with the cover dressing.... the small text and Batman image are especially impressive.
