The Giants are making moves. They released both Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings.

What are your teams doing?

The Bears are getting ready to make the wrong decision where Jay Cutler is concerned.  It doesn't matter what they do (cut or keep), it'll be the wrong decision....

Anthony, I heard this morning that the Giants wanted to free up money to potentially get JPP back on the team.

It's gonna be weird not having Cruz on the team. He and Manning were a great duo back in the day.

Falcons have to make some tough Decisions about the all the RFAs.  Extending Trufaunt is #1, Upgrading Pass-Rush is #2. I understand they are are looking to get  a Extension for Ryan that is much more cap friendly.(26mil against the the cap this year) They also have 3 mill in dead money. I hope that this falcons team is more resilient then the 1012 one. I worry because  Atlanta sports has a history of holding on to players for one contract too long.

Rams are trying not to suck. Well trying to be something other than mediocre Falcons QB coach is their new OC.

Ryan Pace finally gets out from under that Phil Emery Cutler contract...no
doubt in my mind they cut him. I like Cutler and I certainly don't blame all of
the Bear's woes on him, but I do think it's time to move on.

Giants signed Brandon Marshall to a two year deal. With talk of Adrian Peterson looking at Big Blue, they could have a really well developed and powerful offense next season.

I like the signing. It's a good deal for all involved.

Looks like Mike Glennon is coming to the Bears.  I think it's a good signing.  IMO, he's Cutler-lite, without the massive amounts of turnovers.

Amazing.  The Texans traded QB Brock Osweiler to the Browns along with a 2018 2nd round pick and a 2017 6th round pick for a 2017 4th round pick.  Wow.  How far the overrated QB has fallen.  Insult to injury, the Browns are looking to trade or release Osweiler.  Turns out the draft picks were worth more to them than the player.  Link  Reports are that this frees up a ton of cap space for Houston to go after Tony Romo.

The Giants signed Vikings TE Rhett Ellison to a four year deal. I'm not familiar with the player.  Hopefully one of you Vikings fans can chime in on Ellison.

He's a decent guy, but just a so-so TE...at least for the Vikings.  With the ascension of Kyle Rudolph, it's no wonder Ellison was let go.

Ugh to the Bears' FA signings....

And while I DO like the Glennon signing, the Bears severely over paid.

Now Pace desperately needs to nail every single draft pick this year, including doing everything possible to get Trubisky in the 1st round.

Looking at his stats my guess is that the Giants picked him up primarily as a blocker. They need the help to be sure. I just hope they can find a top notch receiving TE.

They really need more rings, Bill. Obviously.

My Giants re-signed JPP....and it looks like they're taking Geno Smith as a backup QB.

One step forward, one step back...

Seriously what would make Jerry Reese think it was a good idea bring Geno to the team. Sure for the last decade plus the Giants  backup QB has been nothing but a footnote. But damn bring him to the team might jinks Eli.

edited to add the word backup

Eli has been "nothing but a footnote"?  Seriously?  Two Superbowls in that span and his role is relegated to a footnote?

Regarding Geno Smith: Was no one decent available for the Giants to sign instead?

(As a Cowboys fan, I love the move. But as a football fan in general....what the heck were they thinking?)

As a Cowboys fan, thank God!

As a football fan in general who sorta likes the Bears: Damn.

Johnny Manziel could end up being a Saint. If we have any Saints fans here, and that happens. y'all have my sympathies. I do think he deserves another chance if he has really cleaned up his act, though.

Meanwhile. Colin Kaepernick is still looking for work. Anyone here really surprised by that?

As a football fan I'm really interested in what happens with Dallas this season. Will Dak and Zeke become victims of the sophomore slump. Or are they the real deal. There is a whole lot of footage on them now. So I don't expect them to light it up like they did last year. But the both of them seem very un-Cowboy like. They seem like nice guys.

As a Giants fan, those chumps were a one hit wonder. The Cowboys will regret letting Romo go.

It amazes me that fans complained about Romo not getting a chance to regain the starter role when he's nothing but a late to post season choke artist. Those fans were either idiots, trolls/fakes pretending to be Cowboys fans, knew Romo personally, or racists who didn't want to see a black man as the starting quarterback.

I never liked Romo, thought he was overrated right off the bat, was pissed when Jones gave him a contract extension rather than trading or releasing him, and am glad he's gone. He might do well with another team, but so what? Good riddance.

And Anthony, I'm going to be laughing so hard it'll hurt if Eli gets injured and the Giants start Geno. Hope that doesn't happen, though. I actually like Eli. Glass Jaw Smith and Overrated Bitchy Jackass on the field at the same time would be something to see, though.....

Brian if that happens I'm going to cry like a baby. I've got a bad feeling that if Smith is on the team Eli will get hurt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Smith won't make the team.
