For all the complaints about the tv show, it still has the best theme music out of all the Batman media. I don't understand why the movies don't embrace it the way the first Spider-Man trilogy did its respective Sixties song.

Having Michael Bublé singing it helps quite a bit!

I watched it with my daughter.
I liked it better than the Lego movie.

I'll wait until it comes out on TV, just like THE LEGO MOVIE.

Saw it.  Loved it.  The password to the Batcave?  Golden!

Absolutely loved it.

Super funny, yet very respectful of the Batman mythos. Very good insights on the Batman character, and some very quotable lines.

Like David said, the password to the Batcave is really funny and given what happens in the second act I was already expecting some Marvel characters to show up. Could they do that? I certainly seemed they could given all the characters from other franchises that do appear, yet they didn't go as far as Iron Man or Spider-Man actually showing up. I wonder what's the actual deal with that... any character that'e ever been "adapted" to Lego is fair game?

… very respectful of the Batman mythos…

••

This must be some new use of the word "respectful" with which I was not previously familiar.

In context, of course. I went in fully aware that this was a parody movie aimed at kids and families (and a huge toy commercial, of course), and also a sequel of sorts to the first Lego Movie, reprising some of that movie's themes on the act of playing as an act of creation and so on. So I went with an open mind.

What I mean with "respectful" is that the filmmakers had great knowledge on every aspect of the Batman mythos and, in that context, successfully represented all the various aspects and eras about it (the comics, the 60s TV show, the Nolan films), had fun with it and made it work, IMHO.

I would call it a very affectionate parody.
