Weeping like a girlie-man.

Tho I hope they are restrained in their application of "humor."

And, ugh! Blonde Hippolyta!! A coloring mistake is once again canonized!

Now THAT is a movie that I want to see! I too hope that is the extent of the humor in the movie (although I fear that Chris Pine needs a little jocularity to truly embrace his character. Oh well.)

I wish that had been Lynda Carter as Hippolyta, but so be it.

I hope the Justice League cameos will be minimal (if at all... it IS set in the 40s. Not that that would stop DC.) End credits are excluded from this hope.

That would have yanked everyone out of the movie.

DC has sent me invitations to the premieres of all their movies for the past couple of decades. Each time I have declined, courteously.

This time. . . . . . . . .

So far this feels like the most heroic on-screen depiction of a super-hero character to date - maybe even surpassing Christopher Reeve's Superman just a bit.

I can hardly believe that three trailers have been released and there
isn't anything screaming NO at me yet.

First DC film I've been excited to see in what feels like a very long time.  Cautious optimism has given way to giddiness.  Hope it lives up!

I weep at how GOOD the movie trailers have been!  I weep at JB's reactions to this movie thus far - because I respect his opinions so much!

sniff...

I hope the humor is restrained, too, but the few bits in all of the trailers so far have been surprisingly gentle and character-based... and genuinely funny!  No schtick, thankfully (I'm looking at you, DOCTOR STRANGE), nor any Will Ferrell-esque lunacy (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL. 2)...

Mostly very good trailers. And Gal Gadot certainly seems extremely well-suited for the role. Casting an Israeli was just about the next best thing to casting a Greek. (Not a Chris Pine fan, though.)

I like how the Amazons are not speaking with American accents. Feels like something new ( I know, I know, Black Panther etc so it's not new, but it feels like it is)

I was at WonderCon in Anaheim last weekend, and this was on the local transit buses servicing the convention area:

More hints of forced humor starting to show themselves. The problem with these ads is that we can get nothing of the context of ANY of the scenes shown -- not even their chronological order!

I still have high, high hopes, tho.

Might you venture to a cinema to view this if enough positive reports occur JB?

Got my tickets yesterday.  My wife and I will be going to see it on June 4th.  So I'll need to avoid this thread for a couple of days.  Surprisingly, my wife is more excited than I am about the movie.

Final trailer.

Reveals a little more about the plot. Still not sure who that villain is although I'm not very familiar with the WW rogues gallery

Doctor Poison would be Wonder Woman's first supervillain, although she was
disguised as a man in the Golden Age.

It would have been a good opportunity to use Nubia/Nu'Bia.

Philippus, the Captain of Hippolyte's Guard, might have been a better choice. Nubia has issues going back to her original creation back in the early 70's as Diana's hither unto unmentioned sister, sculpted from darker clay. While some remember the character fondly, as I do, mainly from an appearance she made in the Bridwell/ Fradon Super Friends comic, she isn't as well-received by everyone. Even her name tends to strike the wrong note with many.

She did get her own 12" action figure/ fashion doll back during the Lynda Carter era, though.
