JB in the trailer for the new Wolverine movie. Both Logan and Professor X drop the F bomb. I've been arguing that it isn't with in Professor X's character to use that kind of language. Wolverine I accept but not Charles.
People online have incorrectly been arguing against my position by saying people change. I respond with the Professor is a fictional character. The only change that comes about is what the writer dictates. In this case the writer is wrong. I'd say it might be possible that Professor X might curse but I don't think he'd ever use that word.
My question to you is this. As someone who has spent a good deal of time working on the character. Would the Professor ever use that kind of language?

The "Professor X" we have been seeing in the movies has little to do with the character I worked on, who would definitely not have used such language."People change" should be replaced with "writers get lazy."

Thanks for the quick response JB.
```````````````` "People change" should be replaced with "writers get lazy." I agree, If I find myself in any other debates about it. I'm going to make that correction.Should others continue to use the people change excuse.
*********
Yeah, Deadpool was the first successful R rated superhero movie so now they are trying it on Wolverine.
Because *that's* what's been wrong with the last 17 years of X-Men movies.
They already had Wolverine dropping f bombs in x-men movies. I'm just surprised they use it in a trailer. Never heard of that before.
The have two trailers: The regular one and the uncensored extended one. The uncensored one is basically for youtube. They aren't going to have him dropping F Bombs in the trailer they play in movie theaters.
I hate, hate, hate this. I cannot vocalise adequately just how much this saddens me. These X-Men things just depress me so much. As do the Transformer things
There's been an F-word (and now, TWO!) in every X-Men movie since FIRST CLASS, if memory serves. Wolverine, said it to young Xavier and Magneto, Young Xavier said it back to Wolverine in DOTF, Young Magneto said it in APOCALYPSE.
They'll have to change the franchise name to F-Men, soon...
Ah, the innocent days of Wolverine calling Cyclops a dick....
Somehow, Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant and James Cagney and Errol Flynn, and James Stewart made dozens of movies without once uttering this expletive on screen. Those were movies that were much less sophisticated than the X-Men films, of course!
